Farm Rules & Economy Balance

  Allowed Farms

Keep farms small, efficient, and player-driven.

Manual or semi-automatic builds are fine — no massive redstone loops.

• Crops: wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot, sugar cane, cactus, bamboo, pumpkins, melons
• Trees: normal or piston harvesters (no TNT dupers)
• Bees & Flowers: honey or honeycomb farms
• Animals: small pens for cows, pigs, sheep, chickens
• Villagers: trading halls capped at ~20 villagers per town
• Iron Farms: one small iron golem farm per town (no megafarms)

      Banned Farms

Anything that breaks the economy or causes server lag.

• Raid farms
• Guardian farms
• Gold farms
• Iron megafarms linking multiple villages or chunk loaders
• Emerald or villager trade loops
• AFK fish farms
• Sculk XP farms
• TNT dupers, zero-tick farms, or redstone clock spam

BreweryX Help Guide

Unlike in vanilla Minecraft, it’s not as easy as adding an ingredient to a brewing Stand and waiting for it to finish. Depending on the recipe the whole process can be difficult and time consuming. Some recipes may need a high precision when it comes to ingredients or any other step in the process. If particular step was done incorrectly or at the wrong time, the quality of the potion may suffer or you’ll end up with an entirely different brew!

Depending on the Recipe, some steps may not be needed, the following instructions describes the most common procedure of brewing.

Fermenting

1. Obtain a cauldron and fill it with water.

2. Add a heat source under your cauldron. This can be one of many:

• Fire or soul fire

• Lava or magma blocks

• Campfire or soul campfire

1. Add the ingredients for your recipe by right clicking the cauldron with each one.

2. Use a clock on the cauldron to see how long the drink has been brewing for.

3. When the cauldron has brewed for the instructed amount of time, use 3 glass bottles to fully extract the contents of the cauldron.

At this point, for some recipes, you may be done! Other recipes may require aging and/or distilling. Please proceed to the next page for documentation of this process.

Aging

Aging is a feature in BreweryX that allows you to age your brews in barrels. When a brew is aged, it will gain additional effects and values based on the brew’s recipe.

Creating a Barrel

To age a brew, you must first create a barrel. Barrels can be created by placing a sign on a collection of blocks with the text Barrel on it.

Small Barrel (9Slots) Large Barrel (27 Slots)

Barrels

After you put your drinks in barrels, you just need to wait! 1 “year” is equals 1 in-game day. If you overdo the drink or use the wrong type of wood, the drink is likely to spoil.

Open the Barrel by clicking on it.

Put the Bottles into the Barrels for aging.

For every Minecraft Day, the brews will age a year.

Depending on the Recipe, the Type of wood used for building the barrel may alter the quality of the aged Brew.

The Minecraft-barrel is always of wood type oak.

Distilling

Some Recipes don't need distilling. Those that do sometimes require more than one distilling step. The amount of distilling steps can be found in the recipe.

Put the bottle with ferment into the brewing stand

Put glowstone dust as filter on top into the brewing stand (The filter will not be consumed)

Brewery Effects

Drinking

The Amount of Alcohol inside the Brew will be applied to the player when drinking. Depending on the quality of it, that may have different effects.

• The Player may not be able to walk normally anymore, he will weave, making it almost impossible to walk straight

• Effects like Blindness, Confusion, Poison etc. occur

• The Chat will be altered depending on drunkenness, many things players write may be incomprehensible, sometimes it seems senseless

• Is the Alcohol particularly strong, it may have poisonous effects

• After drinking a lot, there is a chance of vomiting

• When logging off, the player may have difficulties reaching his character, thus some logins shortly after may be denied

• After overdrinking the player may faint (Disconnecting)

Getting Sober

After drinking it takes a while until the alcohol is completely gone. During that time the alcohol level is steadily decreasing. Also it can be decreased through consuming of items defined in the config.

• When logging off extremely drunk, it may happen that, if the player logs back in after a while, he may find himself at an completely unknown place in the middle of nowhere having no idea how he got there.

• But if he logs back in after some hours or next morning, he will find himself at /home, again without any memories.

• Also if the Alcohol was not of best quality, the player may face some bad type of hangover (slowness and hunger).
